Damanhur, Skulls, and Chiropractic Care
Last year at this time I was in the middle of my seven-week retreat in Damanhur, Italy getting clarity on keeping Songbird open. I’d love to be able to go on another retreat like this, but this year I have been too busy to do more than a short trip to Mount Shasta as everything is moving along in our desire to provide a connecting branch for the body, mind and spirit. Our on-going chiropractic clinic and our special talk in February about crystal skulls exemplify the spectrum we are spanning.
Look for the skull in this picture I took at McCloud Falls during my trip to Mount Shasta last weekend! While there I studied with Susan Isabelle, the keeper of two ancient Mayan skulls that come together to form a child’s heart with a heartbeat. I have started doing chakra healing with my small modern skulls at the Tuesday evening Hands of Gold Healing Clinic.

We are putting on a film festival with HopeDance FiLMS on the weekend of July 16-17. One of the movies is entitled Wake Up, and I have adopted it as the theme for July. The movie Wake Up tells the true story of a man who one day woke up and started seeing angels, demons, auras, and ghosts. This is one of the many things we are waking up to that we used to know nothing about. One way I will be waking up this month is by taking a trip to Mount Shasta to relax and learn more about crystal skulls. I will be starting to use them for healing at the Hands of Gold Healing Clinic soon.
What will we wake up to as we move toward 2012? Time seems to be speeding up. There are so many theories about what is happening from spiritual evolution to Hollywood horror stories to the Rapture. In Crossing the Event Horizon: Rise to the Equation, the fascinating 4-part film we have been showing at Songbird about Nassim Haramein’s unified physics theory, Nassim talks about us approaching the event horizon. What is beyond it? Just as a baby rapidly shifts from one environment to another when it is born, is this what is happening to us? I don’t know, but I find it fascinating to explore possibilities.
Waking up is about learning, exploring, listening, and not acting on blind faith. Waking up is about discovering what is happening in the world and taking action on the things that you want to shift. Lately I have been learning about UFO’s and ET’s. I had no idea how much concrete evidence there is for unexplainable aerial objects and extraterrestrial visitation. Our government has suppressed this. There are many other things the government is suppressing. such as our access to raw milk and small farms. This is the subject of another one of the films in our film festival: Farmageddon.
And sometimes, the easiest way to heal and relieve stress is by taking a break and laughing. This simple healing technique is the subject of our third film. Laughology. This movie is about the history of laughter and includes a laughter yoga session.
I hope that this kind of information that we share with you along with our many opportunities for healing and personal growth is helping you to wake up and succeed in being all that you can be.

The Four Agreements of Don Miguel Ruiz have been on my mind lately as I prepare for my class next week on Embodying the Four Agreements. I’ve been particularly noticing the effects of the third agreement, “Don’t Make Assumptions” in my life and the lives of those around me.
This agreement seems more subtle to me than some of the other ones because many of the assumptions we make are buried in our belief system and operate without our awareness. Most people say they have the most difficulty with “Don’t Take Anything Personally,” but taking things personally is more obvious because we can generally see when we are reacting to something. If we have a negative reaction to something, we’re taking it personally. Making assumptions operates below the surface and affects how we see the world and what we believe we can and can’t do. When we stop making assumptions about who we are and what we are capable of, then miracles can happen. When we stop making assumptions about what’s going to happen and how others will react if we try something, we can let go of the fear of trying it. There’s no reason not to try something. If it doesn’t work, you can try something else without judgment. The people with the most successes are also the people with the most failures. Don’t let fear hold you back from trying to create what you want. Have you been putting off trying something? Try it. Align yourself with love and try something new this month. If it doesn’t work, change it.
The Ripple Effect
The day before my Saturday Toltec Recapitulation Breathing class, I realized I had not sent out an e-mail to my personal e-mail list about it. I almost decided not to do it at that point, but I did. I’m glad I did. This is part of the Law of Attraction: holding the energy of what we want to create and taking action to make it happen. Two people showed up from that mailing. We had a wonderful experience. More and more I am hearing from people who are excited about finding Songbird and the great energy that it has. Is it time for you to stop by and check it out again?
After class, I started thinking about the effects that Songbird is having on people’s lives. When we do something, we never know whether will have a major or a minor impact. We have to both excitedly throw it out to the world and do our best to stay detached from the outcome. It is our passion for what we are doing that draws people in and our passion that makes it hard to stay detached. Every small pebble that we drop can have big ripples in the world. We may not see the effect of all the ripples, but every action we make has a reaction. Are you happy with the reactions you are getting to the actions you are taking in your life? If not, it’s time to try something new. Find a new pebble to toss and see if you like what you create. If not, try again. Never say that you can’t make a difference. Every little action counts. What are you doing to make a difference?

I love the unexpected gifts that life brings me. Yesterday I had a meeting scheduled at Songbird, and the person was running late. It’s a busy week for me, and I could have chosen to get upset at my time being wasted. Instead I was happily updating the bulletin boards while I waited, Because I was there and not in my meeting, I happened to see two people talking and peering in the window of the empty space next to Songbird. They seemed very interested in renting it. I went outside to say hello. It turns out they want to open up a cooperative healing center similar to Songbird, but with a focus on integrating a wide spectrum of herbal and pharmaceutical care. They are excited about the possibility of being next door to us and finding ways to work together without being competitive. I have no idea whether it will work out for them, but I was glad to get to meet, share, and flow. Stay tuned!

Rain. Sun. Snow. Hail. We never what the weather will bring us. It’s always flowing. Just like life. When I remember to go with the flow and trust that everything I need will come to me,it does. I took this cloud picture during my trip to Damanhur, Italy last summer. The entire trip was an example of going with the flow.
Recently I was listening to an Abraham-Hicks Law of Attraction CD in preparation for the Tuesday group, Abraham said to make two columns: one for what you are going to do, and one for what the Universe is going to do for you. That way you don’t feel so overwhelmed and everything can still get done. I think I’m a lot like Esther Hicks that way – often trying to do too much too quickly. When I relax and let it flow, somehow everything that needs to get done gets done when it needs to get done. I attune myself to the vibration of love, joy, and abundance instead of fear and lack.
